Interesting Developments
I have been toying around with the idea of a pvp time for the guild. What do you all think about maybe instituting a pre-made time before raids? If a raid was at say, 12am server time - we could do a premade at 11pm. It wouldn't be official...just whoever is on. I think it may help with ensuring our attendance is appropriate and who doesn't like to wtfpwnbbq noobs?
I have also finally gotten around to updating the User info on the website. Some of you may notice that you now have officer status.
Officer status includes the following benafits:
1) Access to more content types in the "Compose" menu. This includes Polls, Stories, and Pages. Pages are more like solid, on their own, links like the ones on the top right navigation. Stories are pretty much what this article is...a hierarchical table of posts similar to a blog. I wouldn't recommend creating a poll just yet as I have not worked the bugs out.
2) Administrative/Moderator privileges. Basically, you can edit what people say and remove content that is deemed "inappropriate".
3) Access to the "Officer Forum". OOOOH, here is the big one! Officers now have the ability to communicate in their own forum, which cannot be accessed by regular members (not even me!). PLEASE NOTE: Because I do not have access to the officer forum, I have not tested how the "Recent Comment, Active Forum Topic, and New Forum Topic" autoupdators on the main page respond to private forums. This being said, new topics MAY appear on theses lists. PLEASE refrain from posting anything that may be considered offensive (not like you would anyways, but I gotta say it anyways) because the titles of the topics MAY still be visible. If this is the case, it is yet another bug that I will need to work out.
I promoted the user status of officers based off of memory. This being said, if you are an officer and have not been given a promotion, please feel free to send me an in site message via the Private Message module.
Have a good one OOD.
