How to sign up/ how to create an event.

I designed the signup module to be similar to group calendar, but there are some differences.

Sign up:

To sign up for events you have 3 options. You can either click the date on the little calendar and it would describe the events created on that date. OR, you can click the specific event name in the "Upcoming Events" list located to your right. Alternatively, you can click the new "Events" page at the top right and it will take you to the monthly calendar with a view similar to Group Calendar.

Once you select the event you wish to attend, scroll past the "Event members" and "Queued members" lists. At the bottom you will be able to select your character name (if your characters are not there it means have not added them in your account, go to "my account" in the navigation menu on the left to add your characters to the database) and add them to the cue.

Once your character is in the cue, you will be able to see that he is in the appropriate category. Once the event starts, the leader has the option to select who actually attended the event out of the queued members and update the list. This is optional and only servers to keep track of who signed up and who actually showed up.

Create Event:

Creating an event is pretty easy as well. Like all other content (image, story, page, forum post, etc) Events can be added by clicking on the "compose" button located on the top right or on the left navigation menu. Once you select "Event" in the compose menu it gets pretty basic. You select your start time and end times, and you can set a "signup close" which optionally barrs signups past a certain time or date. You can set a maximum of any class, but leaving it blank defaults to unlimited. After that, you just create the event and it automatically adds it to the calendar.

Please keep in mind that the "website" time is currently the games server time as this reduces confusion. I have disabled the option to manually change your timezone because i think it could get too complicated. I may take a while to get used to, but I made it as simple as I possibly could. As with anything, if you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

Have a good one
