Mains vs Alt
At the last officer meeting, we discussed the loot policy regarding Mains vs Alts on raids. We're tired of seeing undergeared toons in advanced content, and we're tired of high-demand loot going to toons that hardly ever raid. This does not help us progress, nor is it realy fair.
A lot of ideas were thrown around, but eventualy we reached the following concensous.
Gurus and Raid Leaders are going to be more strict regarding eligibility for raids. In other words, if you're not geared/speced/experienced enough for an event, you don't get to come. This is and has always been in the rules.
The Raid Leader can make an exception, but this will be rare. It will most likely happen only in the case where we are desperately short of a particular class.
People are able to declare two 'Main' characters, with certain limitations. Main characters must be your best geared toons, they must already meet the gear/spec/experience check, and they must be of different types (i.e. you are NOT allowed to have 2 DPS, 2 Tanks or 2 Healers as your Mains).
All other characters are consider Alts. Points are still pooled amongst all your characters, but Alts have a point cap of 30 when rolling on loot. We expect you to bring one of your Mains to raids not yet on farm status, regardless of whether you need drops from that particular event or not.
PvP time!
Sunday at 9:30 is the guild PvP event at the arena in STV. All level 70's are welcome. There will be several events for serious AND casual PvPers and prizes for all winners. Be there!!
Why have you not been coming to raids lately?
Guild Roster Cleanup
The call has been made to clean up the guild roster. If you have alts in the guild, that's fine, but you MUST label their public notes with your main's name, please.
Our policy is if someone hasn't logged on in 1 month or more, they get demoted to Recruit as a security precaution.
Starting Monday, September 1st, any toon that hasn't logged on for 3 months or more will be removed from the guild, unless they're a labeled alt.
If you have alts that you know you aren't going to ever play again, please just go ahead and remove them. You can always get a reinvite if you decide to start playing them again.
If there is someone in the guild roster who you know for a fact has quit the game and is not coming back, please post a comment in this thread saying: A) The name of the toon (spelled correctly) and B) Why you believe they aren't coming back.
Thank you
BT Required Reading
I'm hoping that we can hit both the third and fourth BT bosses this Monday. If you're planning on coming to BT tomorrow, the following is required reading. In particular, you MUST spend some time using the Ghost Simulator to get the idea of what to do during that part of the fight.

Suggestion for the Ghost Simulator. Using the Arrows keys to move, the Tab key to select, and the 3,4&5 keys to use spells.
If the Tab key is screwing you up, your options are as follows: Try a different web browser OR try clicking the dots to select them.
Point System Adjustments
The officers have decided to make some slight adjustments to the point system. The overall system itself is unchanged, we're just altering the number of points given for certain things. Also, points will be awarded as we go, instead of after each raid.
Signing Up - No points, only determines priority for invites (previously 2 points).
On Time - 2 points (unchanged).
Boss Kill - 2 points (previously 1 point).
2 Hours of Raiding - No points (previously 1 point).
The overall points received on a raid should be approximately the same. The main goal of these changes is to make it easier for raid leaders to keep track of & award points, and to better reward being on time and killing bosses.
These changes will take effect on Monday, August 25th.
On a side note, to receive the On Time Points, you need to be in the raid and at the summoning stone (NOT inside the instance) at the start time of the raid. The raid leader will give a 5 minute warning and a 1 minute warning. Invites start 15 minutes prior to the start time.
New Website
Hello fellow guildmates. The website has been up for nearly half a year now (yay!) and I decided to finally address many of the issues that plagued our members with the old website.
By now you should have noticed that the website looks completly different. Personally, I believe that this website looks more professional as it is compact, easy to read, and works with many different monitor resolutions. Some of you may have experienced display issues with the previous theme. Images didn't fit well, profile pictures cluttered and distracted from the content, and the website itself was very 'large'.
The banner I used was only chosen because, well, its the only one that I have. Currently I am looking for screenshots consisting of 15 or more guildies. I prefer to have them WITHOUT our name and guild name tags on, something which can be disabled from the interface menu prior to screen capture. Feel free to upload any photos (I can do all the cropping) in the gallery.
Unfortunately I was forced to remove all of our existing profile photos/avatars. I did this simply because they were too large for the new format of the website. Rather than 200x200 px avatars, members are now limited to the dimensions of 100x75. The new avatars are designed to be 'low key' so that they do not draw attention from the content of the website.
OoD Photoalbum
I've created a photobucket group album for the guild. Everyone should be able to add to it (pending my approval).
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way yet to create folders within a group, so everything's kind of jumbled together. Ironically, being able to organize things into folders was one of the features I was most hoping for when I created the group. =/ Maybe they'll implement it in the future.
I've already uploaded all our first kill screenshots, as well as few other things. :D
